SNOW'S BEND FARM

October 1st, 2011

After a challenging summer, we are welcoming the wonderful fall growing weather lately!  Since the end of July we have been seeding flats of broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, collards, fennel, chard, kale, bok choy, beets, lettuce, kohlrabi, parsley, and moreWe began transplanting them around the beginning of September, along with direct seeding turnip and mustard greens, rapini, salad greens, beans, turnips, radishes, beets, carrots, rutabaga, dill, cilantro, and more.

As we continue planting for about another month, we are also busy cultivating, managing pests, irrigating, and harvesting all of these crops.

As we are growing our garden and our staff, we are also growing our family!

Come winter we will become a true "family" farm, and thank goodness it will be in the winter.
