SNOW'S BEND FARM
October 1st, 2011
After a challenging summer, we are welcoming the wonderful fall growing weather lately! Since the end of July we have been seeding flats of broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, collards, fennel, chard, kale, bok choy, beets, lettuce, kohlrabi, parsley, and more. We began transplanting them around the beginning of September, along with direct seeding turnip and mustard greens, rapini, salad greens, beans, turnips, radishes, beets, carrots, rutabaga, dill, cilantro, and more.
As we continue planting for about another month, we are also busy cultivating, managing pests, irrigating, and harvesting all of these crops.
As we are growing our garden and our staff, we are also growing our family!
Come winter we will become a true "family" farm, and thank goodness it will be in the winter.
NEWS FROM THE BEND
December 7th, 2011
It is the time of year when we clean up around the farm, take a deep breath, consider resting, and begin planning for the next year. We'll continue to sell our produce to restaurants and to Manna Grocery throughout the winter and as long as the crops hold out.
There is still delicious pork for sale, contact DAVID for more information:
