Fast Facts:
Deliveries will run for 30 weeks, beginning in mid-April, when the strawberries decide to ripen. We hope to take two weeks off in August, to allow our H2A workers to return home for well-earned vacation and to give ourselves a breath as well. It is a challenging time to fill those boxes, too! I haven’t set firm dates on this, though, to allow for some flexibility as the time approaches. I will be sure to let you know in plenty of time to plan for the pause in deliveries. Deliveries will resume after the two-week break and likely go through November. We will ensure 30 weeks total. The cost this year works out to $30 per week. This price was calculated to also include the cost of the boxes, the bags, other packaging materials, upkeep with our refrigerated van, gas for deliveries, etc. Members are asked to find the box with their name, retrieve the plastic bag with their share, and then break down the produce box so that it can be returned to the farm and reused.
